| GRACE UNFOLDING
7'6" x 5'8" Though a profoundly simple painting that invites contemplation, the title ignited a proclamation deep in the core of my soul about "Grace" and "Honor" - virtues that God willing, are honed through one's lifetime of experiences - hence, "Grace Unfolding." The ink circle is known as 'Enso' in Japanese. It is said that a stroke cannot be brushed with resolution if the heart is agitated, and a line that manifests clarity cannot be drawn if the heart is clouded by worldly concerns. In lieu of the author unknown, here is an eloquent description of Enso: "Circle of Infinity...Emptiness with fullness, all things visible, all things unseen.
